A great big welcome to Fall and our foliage harvest season! It's a wonderful time for a Berkshire getaway - There is apple picking with a choice of your locally grown favorites - McIntosh, Cortlands, and Jona-Macs - our wineries offering their tastings - and of course, the spectacular colors of leaves on over 400 species of trees framing our exquisite Berkshire mountain views - Homemade fruit pies, cider and donuts, pumpkins and mums in every gorgeous color waiting for you to take home - Our independent book stores are stocked with new releases as well as our yarn shops filled with new wools and cashmeres in beautiful colors for your special project or gift giving - and of course our country breakfast served by a cozy morning fire after sleeping and dreaming under a down comforter in a canopy bed! From the South (NYC)

Taconic Parkway North to Hillsdale - Rte. 23 exit - Take Rte. 23 East to Great Barrington, MA. Take Rte. 7 North thru Grt. Barrington. Continue North on 7 to Stockbridge Rte. 102 intersection (Red Lion Inn on corner). Turn left heading west on Rte. 102 for a few minutes to Rte. 183 intersection (blicking yellow light). Turn left onto 183 heading South.The Norman Rockwell Museum will be on your left about 3/4 mile, continue another 1/2 mile past the Museum. The Stockbridge Country Inn is on the right hand side w/ Carriage House, white sign at driveway entrance. (2.5 - 3 hrs)

From the East (Boston)

Mass Pike (90) West to Exit 2. Turn left after the toll exit. Go under turnpike overpass and bear right onto Rte. 102 West. Follow 102 to downtown Main Street Stockbridge (Approx.6 miles) Red Lion Inn will be on your left. Keep heading west on Main Street for approx. 2miles (you will pass a golf course on both sides of the road) until you come to Rte. 183 intersection. Turn left. The Stockbridge Country Inn is on the right hand side w/ Carriage House, white sign at driveway entrance. (2.5 hrs.)

From the West (Albany)

I-90 East to Exit B3 (Stockbridge/W.Stockbridge exit signs) Turn right at exit and go about 1 mile and take a left and follow on to Rte. 102 and thru W. Stockbridge village. Continue east until you come to intersection of Rte. 102 and Rte. 183 (blinking yellow light) Turn right onto Rte. 183 heading South. The Norman Rockwell Museum will be on your left about 3/4 mile, continue another 1/2 mile past Museum. The Stockbridge Country Inn is on the right hand side w/ Carriage House, white sign at driveway entrance. (1 hr.)
